NEW YORK WOMEN IN COMMUNICATIONS ANNOUNCES THE 52nd ANNUAL MATRIX AWARDS HONORING LEADING WOMEN IN THE COMMUNICATIONS INDUSTRY
NYWICI Celebrates the Return of the Matrix Awards to NYC with In-Person Evening at the Iconic Ziegfeld Ballroom on October 26
NEW YORK, NY (September 6, 2022)— New York Women in Communications (NYWICI), the premier organization for female communications professionals, today announced the honorees for its 2022 Matrix Awards. This marks the 52nd year of the Matrix Awards, which will celebrate the honorees on October 26, 2022, at the Ziegfeld Ballroom in Manhattan.
The 2022 NYWICI Matrix Honorees include:
- Devika Bulchandani, Global President, Ogilvy North America
- Rita Ferro, President, Advertising, Disney
- Marlee Matlin, Actress and Activist
- Stephanie Mehta, CEO and Chief Content Officer, Mansueto Ventures
- Elizabeth Rutledge, CMO, American Express
- Gwen Stefani, Singer/Songwriter, Beauty & Fashion Entrepreneur and Coach on NBC’s “The Voice”
- Tiffany R. Warren, EVP, Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer, Sony; Founder, ADCOLOR
- Judy Woodruff, Anchor and Managing Editor, PBS NewsHour
In addition to the Matrix honorees, NYWICI’s 2022 college scholarship recipients will also be honored at the event. To date, NYWICI has awarded more than $2 million in scholarships to support young women and their academic and professional pursuits.

Since 1971, the Matrix Awards have been held annually as the signature event of NYWICI to celebrate and recognize outstanding women leaders who exemplify excellence, the courage to break boundaries and a steadfast commitment to champion the next generation of trailblazers, creatives and communicators. These remarkable women will join a roster of distinguished past Matrix Award recipients such as Gloria Steinem, Toni Morrison, Meryl Streep, Anna Wintour, Nora Ephron, Halle Berry, Geena Davis and Padma Lakshmi, to name a few.
