SPOTLIGHT: LESLIE PITTERSON
As Vice President of Communications for US Media at Nielsen, Leslie Pitterson oversees integrated campaigns and media relations supporting the company’s digital shift, including its digital products and clients. Recently, she led the announcements for the inclusion of Hulu and YouTube TV into the official TV ratings as well as Nielsen’s acquisition of media metadata provider, Gracenote.
Prior to joining Nielsen, Leslie managed media relations for the Financial Institutions Group at Moody’s Investor Services, developing the communications strategy for the first post-crisis rating actions on the major global investment banks. With a depth of experience in marketing and communications, she has held roles at Morgan Stanley, Clinton Foundation and PBS, beginning her career as a UN correspondent.
Leslie holds a M.Sc. in Communications from Columbia University and B.A. in History from The George Washington University. She is a supporter of several industry and community organizations including New York Women in Communications and The Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture at The New York Public Library.
