SPOTLIGHT: LINDA SAWYER & ALISON ADLER MATZ
Co-Founders of Skura Style
Best friends since second grade, Skura Style co-founders, Linda Sawyer and Alison Adler Matz, have had high powered careers in advertising and media. They dreamed of one day building a modern, innovative consumer products company together and launched Skura Style in October 2017.
Linda is the former longtime N.A. CEO and Chairman of Deutsch Advertising and was instrumental in its transformation as one of the leading, premiere agencies in the industry. She is also a proud recipient of NY Women in Communications’ Matrix Award and was named by Ad Age as one of the ten most powerful women in advertising. She is also a self-proclaimed clean freak, and it was this passion that led her to leave her big corporate role to develop a brand and company that would disrupt the household sponge category.
Alison spent the majority of her career as a media executive and served as publisher of several well-known consumer magazine brands at Conde Nast, Meredith and Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia. During her tenure at the helm of these companies, she worked with blue-chip clients on consumer facing media and marketing solutions that led to record breaking sales success. Prior to taking the big leap to entrepreneurship, Alison began her career reinvention with media related roles on both the media agency side, and in the virtual reality technology space.
With their combined business experience, passion for great design and love of clean, Linda and Alison believe that this next chapter will be their most successful and profound yet.
