SPOTLIGHT: PATTY CHANG ANKER
Author, Speaker, Blogger
Patty Anker’s quest for a balanced life has taken her to a lot of strange places. She’s been a publicist at The New York Times and yoga teacher for kids with special needs. She surfed Lake Michigan in winter in order to face her fear of open water and hypothermia at the same time (overachiever) and has helped others overcome their fears of public speaking, heights, and driving as a courage coach. Her book, Some Nerve: Lessons Learned While Becoming Brave, was an Oprah Book Club 2.0 pick and her TEDx Talk “Warning: Leaving Comfort Zone” has 81K views. But it’s only now, as she approaches 50, that she’s found what she was meant to do: Real Estate. “At the end of the day all we want is to feel at home,” she says. “Our fears of change can paralyze us in every part of life but especially when we move. My goal is help people into their next great stage and find home.” Patty lives in Westchester County with her husband, 2 kids, 2 dogs and a dwarf hamster.
