SPOTLIGHT: SARAH PERSONETTE
Since January 2018, Ms. Personette has been the Chief Operating Officer of Refinery29, a global media and entertainment company for young women. She oversees revenue, business marketing, growth and analytics, distribution, and strategy and insights.
From 2014 through 2017, she served as the Vice President of Facebook Inc.’s Global Business Marketing team, responsible for providing clients with innovative and effective marketing solutions for their businesses. Prior to rejoining Facebook in 2014, she was the US President of Universal McCann Worldwide, Inc.’s, where she oversaw strategy, analytics, custom content, cross-channel buying and planning, and business development.
Before joining Universal McCann, Ms. Personette built and led Facebook’s Global Agency team where she led the combination of creative and strategic thinking behind turning cross‐channel campaigns into those fueled by digital insights. She previously served as Senior Vice President at Starcom Mediavest Group, leading the Mars Wrigley agency of record.
Ms. Personette received the 2016 Next Generation of Women in Communications from NYWICI and was inducted into the American Advertising Federation’s Advertising Hall of Achievement in 2015. In 2014, she was named one of Advertising Age magazine’s top “40 Under 40” marketing stars.
She serves as a corporate director for Build-A-Bear Workshop (BBW) and is a director on the non-for-profit boards of She Runs It, Northwestern University’s Alumnae Association Board, and the Reisenbach Foundation. She resides in New Jersey, holds a degree from Northwestern University, and is a proud wife and mother of two.
