SPOTLIGHT: TANYA JONES
Meredith Corporation and Career Coach
In July 1997, the same day Jones received word of a job offer at a television network in New York City, she was also offered two other jobs in social work in her hometown of Philadelphia. Having just graduated with a degree in sociology, social services made sense on paper, but television was calling her. She was excited about the possibilities of all three. While it was a tough decision, before she knew it, she was on the Peter Pan bus heading north on 95.
Since then Jones has produced countless series for television networks and digital platforms. Her work has been featured on PBS, Discovery Channel, Food Network, HGTV and across digital for advertisers like L’Oréal, Proctor and Gamble, CoverGirl, Home Depot, and Target.
Tanya’s desire to serve and help people never ceased throughout her media career. She became a certified professional coach in the fall of 2014. She coaches clients one-on-one in the areas of career, relationships, and personal growth. She also offers coaching for rising on camera talent, entrepreneurs, and small business owners who are looking to create a vision around their brand.
“Someone told me once that my life’s purpose is to help souls move forward. That’s quite a task but I’m up for it and I hold that vision with great honor. I love connecting with people. It’s an equal exchange with my clients. I believe coaching will become just as vital as working out and eating well. I want people to live a life where they see possibility everywhere, set daily practices, and act to achieve their dreams. A life in which they master fearlessness and live out their passions.”
