Elisa TangElisa Tang is a New York Women in Communications scholarship winner and works as an Associate Producer for Time Inc.’s first ever OTT digital network, PeopleTV. Elisa interviews subjects, writes and edits for stories ranging from deep-dive celebrity features to compelling human-interest pieces that are tied to People.com and the weekly People Magazine issues.

Prior to her job at Time Inc., Elisa worked at NBC’s Today and MTV.com. Elisa graduated from Hofstra University, during which time she interned at various major media outlets—from CNN to Fox 5 New York—and earned a Gracie Award for her original reporting at WRHU 88.7FM.

Why she does what she does…

“Video allows me to tell stories in unique ways, which can spark conversation and shed light on overlooked topics. I create videos because telling stories is how we continue to learn.”

Drawn to NYWICI…

“NYWICI is such a special organization in that its members are not only some of the best in the business, but they are also incredibly invested in supporting each other’s success. I have met some of my closest friends and mentors through NYWICI (which I call my sisterhood), and they remind me that patience, dedication and passion go a long way.”

Elisa’s favorite social media platform...

“Instagram is my favorite social media platform. I enjoy sharing photos and videos of different aspects of my life, and I love seeing what’s going on with others.”

Off the clock, really…

“I am a huge movie buff, so I love having movie marathons with my boyfriend, going to museums, hiking, trying new brunch spots with friends and playing with my dachshund Chloe.”

Elisa’s nirvana…

“I would love to say Disney World for this but in all honesty, my nirvana is sitting by my fire pit on a fall night with loved ones.”

Did you know…

“I’m a former Irish Step Dancing Champion. I even got to perform at Carnegie Hall!”

Day to relive…

“When I played ‘Frenchy’ in my high school’s musical production of Grease. That was fun!”

Words to live by…

“‘I am a Woman Phenomenally. Phenomenal Woman, that’s me,’ by Maya Angelou.”
