WHAT DOES THE GRANT COVER?
The PIVOT Development Grants provide resources for female communications professionals as they navigate various stages in their careers and seek to self-direct their career development. PIVOT is aimed at applicants who are looking to invest in their professional development through a range of self-directed options including:
- Continuing Education courses for those looking to go back to school. If you’re currently in school, feel free to apply to our scholarship program.
- Executive coaching
- Technical-focused workshops
- Professional development conferences and more
ELIGIBILITY
PIVOT Development Grants are for women in communications, media and advertising industries at various stages, from entry-level to mid-to-senior level roles. New York Women in Communications members who have belonged to the organization for at least two consecutive years qualify.
NOTE: Grant recipients can re-apply if turned down for a grant, but grant winners can only be awarded one grant during their NYWICI membership. Grants must be used within one year of the seasons (Fall or Spring) of which they were awarded. Grants are paid directly to the vendor, not the awardee. The grants are not retroactive.
JUDGING
Eligible applications are reviewed by the Scholarships & Grants VPs, and winners are determined by a committee composed of the current and past presidents.
