As the largest foundation in the tri-state area for women's scholarship in communications, New York Women in Communications awards winners in the amounts of $2,500, $5,000 and $10,000. Several are named awards supported by corporations or foundations that have specific criteria. This year, we are excited to introduce two brand new scholarships: the Ann Liguori Foundation Sports Media Scholarship and The Roz Relin Scholarship.
The Ann Liguori Foundation Sports Media Scholarship will be awarded to a student hoping to pursue a career in sports broadcasting, reporting, programming or production. The Roz Relin Scholarship was established to honor Roz, who was a mentor and true pioneer in the field of communications and made a significant impact within the organization of New York Women in Communications. The first ever Roz Relin Scholarship will be awarded to a student demonstrating excellence in communications studies and enthusiasm and commitment to the field.
The Foundation has awarded more than $1 million dollars in scholarships since its inception in 2000, making a difference in the lives of hundreds of deserving young women.
Recipients of the awards will be acknowledged at the renowned New York Women in Communications Matrix Awards Luncheon on Monday, April 27, 2015, at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City.
