Social Community Manager – Educational Housing Services

Responsible to: Director of Marketing

Responsible for: Working with the Director of Marketing and SVP of Marketing and Leasing to manage and execute marketing initiatives and monitor the EHS brand reputation.

Summary of specific duties and responsibilities:

• Assist in the development and delivery of a struct
• Assist in the development, maintenance and organization of content needed to support various marketing initiatives, and its distribution to team members:
• Develop engaging, high-quality promotional campaign concepts and content (including copy and graphics) for use across multiple channels including Google Banner ads, email marketing, social media and more;
• Write and edit copy for company needs including but not limited to press releases, the website, lead-generation emails, and more;
• Help manage EHS’s use of the marketing platform Pardot, including understanding its relationship to Salesforce and other departmental information databases such as Student Life’s room management system
• Strive to continuously streamline and automate communications to EHS’s many audiences – including leads, national school contacts, company contacts and more — especially using the Pardot marketing platform;
• Use metrics to analyze marketing campaigns, then create summary reports that use data to identify successes and weaknesses, and make recommendations for the future;
• Assist the department in the production of material including brochures and information kits;
• Coordinate mailings to include delivery, distribution and results of department initiatives;
• Coordinate with all advertising agencies and digital media consultants on marketing initiatives as directed;
• Control inventory and ordering of marketing materials for student life, marketing and leasing department;
• Oversee inventory and ordering of branded materials created by the marketing department and used by the entire company, including stationary and business cards;
• Manage EHS’s presence on social media including creating and managing sweepstakes and a social media calendar that meets brand guidelines and includes posts for social platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, etc), and promptly reporting any negative comments or issues;
• Stay current with digital and social media trends and research new opportunities for marketing and advertising campaigns;
• Manage EHS’s use of the user generated content platform Olapic, including identifying and resolving any issues, learning about and using new tools and products, and using analytics to drive ideas for sweepstakes and advertising campaigns;
• Manage EHS’s presence on reviews sites including but not limited to Yelp, Facebook and Google Places, making sure content and information is up-to-date and promptly reporting any negative comments or issues;
• Lead initiatives focused on generating positive reviews, primarily using the platform Yotpo;
• Assist in managing EHS’s Brand and Campus Ambassador programs, including directing ambassadors in creating + attaining content (images, GIFS, videos, testimonials) that can be used for marketing campaigns;
• Coordinate marketing efforts including social media and ambassador programs with the Student Life department and other relevant EHS team members;
• Assist in helping protect EHS brand integrity, including reporting suspicious activity to marketing team members;
• Manage decoration of model rooms and décor inventory;
• Assist in making web updates as directed in the EHS website CMS;
• Perform such other duties as may be assigned to enhance development of marketing and the best interests of EHS and its affiliates
• Represent EHS as necessary at trade association meetings;


• Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing or Business preferred with a minimum of 3 years related experience, including content marketing and some managerial responsibilities
• Strong interest in social media communities (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, etc.) and how different audiences engage in them
• Ability to connect social media community metrics (reach, engagement, clicks, and results) to marketing objectives • Experience working with website content management systems
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail, including the ability to carefully edit and monitor text for correct grammar and punctuation (including in emails to staff)
• Strong computer skills, including using Power Point, Word, Excel, and Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator
• Strong graphic design experience, including creating still and animated digital ad campaigns, and high-quality email marketing content
• Experience using marketing automation platforms, especially Pardot
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize and execute tasks to meet deadlines
• Must be highly collaborative and comfortable delegating tasks and being delegated to when working with others on projects
• Strong written and oral communication skills – ability to communicate clearly and effectively
• Creative thinking and ability to generate fresh ideas/concepts
• Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
• Familiarity with Salesforce preferred

Compensation is determined based on experience.
