MEREDITH KOPIT LEVIEN

President and Chief Executive Officer, The New York Times Company

Meredith Kopit Levien is president and chief executive officer of The New York Times Company. Before becoming CEO in September 2020, she served as chief operating officer, executive vice president, chief revenue officer, and head of advertising. She joined The Times Company in 2013.

Before joining The Times, she spent five years at Forbes, where she held various roles, including publisher and chief revenue officer, and six years at the Atlantic.

Ms. Kopit Levien is a Henry Crown Fellow at the Aspen Institute. She serves on the board of directors of The New York Times Company and Instacart.

She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia in 1993 and divides her time between New York and Washington, D.C.

HANNAH YANG

Chief Growth and Customer Officer, The New York Times Company

Hannah Yang is the Chief Growth and Customer Officer at The New York Times Company, leading its global subscription business. She co-leads a cross-functional organization consisting of product development, engineering, data, design, marketing, research, customer care, and sales to drive The Times’s subscription growth across its portfolio of products. Prior to joining The Times, she was an attorney at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett and a management consultant at Katzenbach Partners LLC (now a part of Strategy&).

She serves on the Board of Empire State Realty Trust, a leading real estate investment trust. She also serves on the Board of the The New York Times Communities Fund and The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards.

Hannah graduated from Harvard College, Harvard Law School, and The Juilliard Pre-College Division. She immigrated to the United States from Korea at the age of nine. She lives in New York with her husband and two sons.
