Chief Marketing Officer for Connected Commerce and the Head of Card Marketing at JPMorganChase
Danielle Wallis is the Chief Marketing Officer for Connected Commerce and the Head of Card Marketing at JPMorganChase. In her current role, she oversees marketing strategies that support the Chase Card business, which represents over 60 million active cardholders as of 2025.
Her responsibilities encompass both new card acquisition as well as customer loyalty and retention marketing. As the CMO of Connected Commerce, Danielle spearheads marketing initiatives to expand the commerce businesses including Chase Travel, Chase Offers & Shopping, Chase Media Solutions and payment products including Zelle. Under Danielle’s leadership, the team has acquired over 10 million new Card accounts, refreshed the Sapphire Reserve Card, launched the Chase Travel brand, now the third largest leisure travel provider and rolled out new payments and lending solutions such as Chase Pay Over Time at Amazon and Paze.
Prior to JPMorganChase, Danielle spent 18 years at American Express most recently as Vice President and General Manager in Global Commercial Services, where she was responsible for leading all customer marketing in the US for Small and Middle Enterprise customers across American Express’s Commercial Services organization. Her team led all marketing communications to deepen loyalty and engagement among existing customers across Commercial Card and non-Card products.
Her previous roles at American Express include serving as Head of International Marketing, where she led both acquisition and customer marketing across more than 15 global markets, as well as time working in the Consumer Card group, managing the Marriott Co-brand credit card from American Express.
Danielle has deep marketing and advertising roots, having led digital content and strategy development in the Global Advertising group at American Express. She managed brand campaigns including the “Project Runway” integration with Diane von Furstenberg as well as “Members Projects from American Express,” a philanthropic marketing program focused on giving back to charitable organizations.
Danielle graduated with a B.A. from Williams College and has served on the board of the National Retail Federation Foundation.
