| As I step into my role as President of New York Women in Communications, I am filled with gratitude, optimism, and a deep sense of purpose. NYWICI has always been more than a professional organization—it is a community, a catalyst, and a powerful reminder that when women support one another, extraordinary things happen.
Our guiding theme for 2026 is The Butterfly Effect—the idea that small moments, meaningful connections, and acts of mentorship can create ripple effects that shape careers, confidence, and lives in ways we may not immediately see. A single conversation. A shared story. A door opened at the right moment. These seemingly small gestures can change the trajectory of a woman’s professional journey.
In the year ahead, we are doubling down on what has always made NYWICI special: mentorship, connection, and opportunity. We are committed to creating more intentional spaces for women at all ages and stages—from students and rising stars to mid-career leaders, executives, and founders—to come together, learn from one another, and navigate the winding roads that define modern careers in communications, marketing, media, and beyond.
2026 will be anchored by four powerful tentpole events designed to educate, inspire, and connect our community:
- The Beverly Wettenstein New York Experience (March 26, 2026) – a dynamic exploration of leadership, culture, and the industries that define New York, featuring candid conversations and intimate fireside chats.
- The Matrix Awards (May 19, 2026) – our signature celebration honoring extraordinary women whose leadership, innovation, and impact embody the very best of our profession.
- The Trailblazer Awards (Fall 2026) – recognizing bold leaders who are redefining what success looks like and paving the way for those who follow.
- The Career Communications Conference (Fall 2026) – a hands-on, future-focused gathering designed to provide real tools, insights, and connections for navigating the next chapter of your career.
