This exclusive event hosted by NYWICI builds upon the legacy of the prestigious Matrix Awards and the highly regarded WiCi Awards, which ran from 2013 to 2018. Both of these NYWICI events have celebrated and honored remarkable women in communications, and this new initiative continues that tradition. By recognizing emerging leaders and the trailblazers who mentor them, this event aims to inspire, empower, and foster a stronger community within the fields of communications, marketing, media, advertising, and public relations. It represents a fresh opportunity to celebrate the industry’s future leaders.

“The women we honored for NYWICI’s inaugural Trailblazer Awards carved new paths to pave the way for others,” said Laura Brusca, President of NYWICI and Chief Communications Officer, Forbes. “They were all nominated by icons of our industry who have supported their success and career journeys. We all know that women who are mentored and supported have a better chance of being successful, and this is why we created our Trailblazer Awards. With this annual event, we’re ensuring that emerging leaders voices and stories are heard, felt and amplified throughout our industry.”

NYWICI’s mission is to empower women in the communications field to reach their full potential and navigate the ever-changing landscape of the industry. The organization promotes professional growth and inspires members to achieve, and to share their success and lift as they climb by facilitating leadership, networking, and professional development opportunities that connect women who connect the world.
