NYWICI’s Communications Career Conference to be Held at
Spotify’s NYC Office on September 25

NEW YORK, NY (August 11, 2025)—New York Women in Communications (NYWICI) is announcing the return of the highly anticipated NYWICI Communications Career Conference which will take place on September 25 from 12:00–5:00 pm at Spotify’s New York City office. This dynamic event will bring together top professionals and emerging voices in the communications industry for an afternoon of inspiration, insight, and networking.

“We are thrilled to bring back the NYWICI Communications Career Conference to empower and enable students and early professionals with the skills they need to succeed in an ever-evolving communications landscape. This event is not just about networking; it’s about building a community of support for the future of our industry,.” stated Brandi Boatner, NYWICI President.

The conference will open with a compelling keynote on The Power of Mentorship, setting the tone for a day of meaningful dialogue and professional growth. In this keynote, Erin Styles, Public Affairs, Communications and PR Lead at Spotify, and her mentor Ashok Sinha, Chief Communications Officer at Dow Jones, will explore how meaningful mentor relationships can transform careers.

This duo will share their unique mentorship journey, revealing how it has created opportunities for both personal growth and professional excellence, while breaking down barriers in the industry. Through honest conversations and mutual learning, the session will guide attendees on how to cultivate similar connections to accelerate their career trajectories.

The Keynote will be followed by three panel discussions:

The session brings together voices who understand the unique challenges and opportunities facing today’s emerging workforce because they are living it. Panelists will share learnings on navigating career transitions, owning your success, and leveraging technology to create meaningful professional connections.

Our distinguished panel includes publishers, reporters, and influencers who will share insights on navigating career opportunities, embracing new storytelling formats, and creating innovative content in today’s evolving media landscape.
