Emily Steel is an award-winning business journalist at The New York Times, where she has covered the media industry since 2014. Her reporting exposed a series of settlements related to sexual harassment allegations against Bill O’Reilly, the former Fox News host. Her investigation into Vice Media found four settlements involving allegations of sexual harassment or defamation and more than two dozen women who said they had experienced or witnessed sexual misconduct at the company. The reporting laid the foundation for an international reckoning over issues of sexual misconduct.
