MEGAN TWOHEY

Investigative Reporter
The New York Times

Megan Twohey is an investigative reporter with The New York Times. She most recently co-authored an investigative series on film producer Harvey Weinstein’s long history of alleged sexual harassment and rape of women. As part of the U.S. presidential politics team, she helped to uncover Donald J. Trump’s questionable treatment of women and his business ties to Russia.

As a reporter at Reuters News, the Chicago Tribune, and The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, she wrote articles that revealed predatory doctors, untested rape kits and an underground network where people discarded adopted children they no longer wanted.

A native of Evanston, Illinois, she was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for Investigative Reporting and has won other national journalism awards. Her work has sent abusers to prison and prompted new laws to protect women and children.
