NYWICI WANTS TO KNOW:
If you could have one superpower, which would you choose?
I’d love to be able to stop time. Not only would it allow me to look around every once in a while, but who couldn’t use an extra couple of hours in their day without the clock actually moving forward?
Tell me about the first job you’ve ever held.
My first job out of college was working at a small PR agency in the music industry. I always wanted to be singer myself, so I loved getting to understand the business behind it. It was my first foray into communications and once I got a taste, I was hooked.
What energizes and drains you when you’re at work?
Curiosity is what drives me. And passion drives curiosity. I love working with individuals who always want to learn more and grow no matter where they are at in their careers. That inspires an open-mindedness that spurs creativity and resilience. On the flip side, when people close themselves off to new thinking or approach challenging situations from a negative standpoint, it can be difficult to manage and it depletes my own energy.
What’s your process for turning a bad day into a good one?
All it takes is a hug and hearing “I love you” from my kids and the world just looks better!
Why NYWICI?
Because women deserve to have a resource that puts their professional and personal growth at the forefront of its mission. The collective power we can harness will propel us on both an individual and communal level and change the future of our industry. Who wouldn’t want to be a part of that?!
