Why she does what she does… “I love that people are consuming my work. Whether students, clients, co-workers or stakeholders, it is an honor to know that my work is shaping the narrative of a targeted audience.”
Drawn to NYWICI… “I love that NYWICI provides a platform for women at various stages in their career. From students to C-suite executives, NYWICI members inspire and support each other’s journey.”
Rodeena’s favorite social media platform… “I gravitate towards several, but my favorite is Twitter. I’m constantly on the go, so I love the fact that I can catch up on the latest news throughout the day.”
Communications’ biggest challenge… “An over-saturated market: Brands must continue to keep their fingers on the pulse of the industry and know when to shift strategies.”
At the top of Rodeena’s trend watching list is… “The future of social media. In the words of Samsung, what’s ‘The Next Big Thing?’”
Off the clock, really… “Binge watching old episodes of Law & Order: SVU.”
Rodeena’s nirvana… “Outdoors — concerts, picnics, the beach, or pool on a beautiful, sunny day. Something about fresh air that relaxes me.”
Did you know… “I’m an advocate for Alzheimer’s.”
Day to relive… “No day in particular. However, any day with my mother before she passed away would be ideal.”
Words to live by… “This quote by Maya Angelou resonates with me: ‘My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor and some style.’”
