There’s something about September that always feels like a fresh start.

Maybe it’s all those years of heading back to school with new notebooks, new schedules and the sense that anything was possible. Even when our school days are long behind us, September still has a way of getting our heads back in the game.

For some of us, that means juggling work deadlines with school schedules, activities and the return of the morning scramble. Maybe you’re a student heading into your senior year and already feeling those jitters about what comes next. Perhaps you’re just starting out in your career but realizing you’re ready for a change. Or maybe you spent the summer dreaming about a new job, a new business, a big idea or simply a new approach to the work you’re already doing.

Whatever your situation, September is the moment to turn those summer dreams into action.

At NYWICI, we’re getting back to work right alongside you with a month filled with opportunities to reconnect, get inspired and expand your network.

One of the highlights will be our third annual Trailblazer Awards at Forbes on Fifth, chaired by NYWICI Past President Laura Brusca. What has quickly become a must-attend event will bring together an extraordinary group of women nominated by some of the true dynamos in our industry. It’s an intimate evening designed not only to celebrate their accomplishments, but to create meaningful connections among women who share a commitment to helping one another succeed.

So this September, I’m declaring it Back to YOU season.

Back to taking a chance on yourself. Or simply back to your desk, determined to absolutely kill it in the role you already have.
