NEW YORK WOMEN IN COMMUNICATIONS ANNOUNCES HONOREES FOR 53RD ANNUAL MATRIX AWARDS

 

NEW YORK, NY (July 19, 2023)New York Women in Communications (NYWICI), the premier organization for female communications professionals, today announced the honorees for its 2023 Matrix Awards. The 53rd year of the Matrix Awards, which will celebrate these “Champions of Change” on September 20, 2023, at the Ziegfeld Ballroom in Manhattan.

The 2023 NYWICI Matrix Honorees include:

  • Esi Eggleston Bracey, President, Unilever USA, CEO Personal Care North America
  • Moira Forbes, Executive Vice President Forbes and Publisher, ForbesWomen
  • Christine Elliott, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, Moody’s
  • Maureen J. Reidy, President and Chief Executive Officer, The Paley Center for Media
  • Donna Speciale, President of Advertising Sales and Marketing, TelevisaUnivision
  • Clarissa Ward, Chief International Correspondent, CNN

Since 1971, the Matrix Awards have been presented by NYWICI—the city’s largest organization of professional women in the communications industry. The Awards have honored and celebrated female empowerment and achievement in the field of communications and the arts since their first honoree, Gloria Steinem. Matrix honorees are women making a difference, building community, and inspiring the next generation of female leaders in their field. Recent honorees include remarkable women ranging from Hoda Kotb, Linda Yaccarino, and Halle Berry to Judy Woodruff, Marlee Matlin and Norah O’Donnell, to name just a few.

In addition to the Matrix honorees, NYWICI’s 2023 college scholarship recipients will also be recognized at the event. To date, NYWICI has awarded more than $2 million in scholarships to support young women and their academic and professional pursuits.
